The Person Behind the Beam
Sailor Sawdust started the way most good things do — out of curiosity, a bit of stubbornness, and a refusal to settle for mass-produced garbage. Based in Ballarat, Victoria, we're a one-person operation that takes your idea and burns it into something permanent.
Every piece that leaves this workshop has been dialled in by hand. Settings tested on scrap. Design files obsessed over. If the first pass isn't right, it gets redone. That's not a policy — it's just how it works when you actually give a damn about what you make.
We're not a print shop. We don't do rush-and-ship. What we do is precision engraving across wood, metal, stone, and glass — using equipment that would make most hobbyists cry, operated by someone who's spent years learning exactly what it can do.
Whether it's a commemorative coin for a mate's retirement, an RGB wall piece for a gaming setup, or a set of slate coasters that'll outlast everything else in your kitchen — if it's worth making, it's worth making properly.
